Bio

Louann P. Smith is a photographic artist whose fine art practice spans over twenty-five years. Her personal garden serves as both inspiration and source material. Smith’s on-going artistic development includes workshop study with esteemed photographers such as Tara Sellios, Guy Tal, Alan Ross and Bruce Barnbaum. She is based in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.

Smith’s work is currently exhibited in the Association for Visual Arts 2026 Juried Member Show in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she received a Juror’s Choice Award. Her botanical studies also received a 2020 solo exhibition at the Exum Gallery in Chattanooga.  She is a member of The Photographic Society of Chattanooga, where she was awarded first prize in the advanced print division of the Society’s 2022 and 2023 annual contests.  She also received first prize in the advanced digital division of the Society’s 2020 and 2021 annual contests. She is a member of the Atlanta Photography Group and the Association of Visual Arts in Chattanooga.
